Oceania operates the MV Informed Consent, a 190-meter converted cruise vessel with 600 participant berths, a full clinical pharmacology unit, and a flag of convenience from a nation whose entire regulatory code fits on a laminated card. Sponsors bring a molecule. We bring a protocol, a population, and the horizon in every direction.
Participants enjoy all-inclusive dining, a lido deck, and compensation well above onshore rates. Our ethics review is conducted by the IRB (International-waters Review Boat), a smaller vessel that follows us at a respectful distance.
We are frequently asked whether regulators will accept our data. That is the wrong question. The right question is how long they can keep refusing it while their citizens fly to Tuvalu for the drug.
